The Renovation
Le Celle di Ciardo holiday apartments, thanks to the 2015-2016 renovation, have taken on the aspect of three comfortable apartments, welcoming yet practical “home from home” spaces where material and décor reflect tradition and style.
The original stone staircase, flooded from above by sunshine from the huge skylight and illuminated at night by traditional wrought-iron lanterns, hints at the connection between the interior ambience and the outdoor environment of Via Sant’Antonino, almost bringing the busy street scene to the very doors of the apartments.
Wood, iron and stone, antique and traditional materials, bring warmth to the apartments, those on the upper floor, with their loft spaces, look out over the picturesque market streets and from the roof-top terrace of the San Lorenzo apartment guests can enjoy the splendid view of the Medici Chapels.
The unique kitchen units in iron and wood have been especially designed and created for Celle di Ciardo by a Florentine craftsman.
It is our intention to further enrich the interior decoration and furnishings of the apartments through a process of consistent and accurate research for new decorative elements, a sort of “work in progress”, aimed at creating a unique, hospitable and homely environment.
